    Greetings Kindhearted Earthlings!
to note: Funky Mood Swing (FMS) alert so excuse for the excessive cursing here. Hahahaha.

How are you lads and lasses doing???? Me, sick, insomniac, catching up with tons of friends during the weekends, lap-topless, not uploading any pictures of recent activities and the list goes on. Yes, the Beijing Olympics started on the 8th of August, 2008. Good number altho I have to say, that morning, I saw 4 ambulances and 2 accidents on my way to work. Lucky for some, but not for all. Hey, thats just life, right?

Among other things, the latest buzz would be the 8TV's latest teen drama, 5 Jingga (in malay, Jingga means the colour orange). A drama about high school cheerleading team, I'm just proud to say its my friend Hunny Madu's tv debut. A superbly-talented singer and rapper, Hunny Madu is now, not only a radio DJ, but an actress as well! Catch her in the show, Tuesday at 9.30pm on 8TV. I don't know whether they would webcast the show on the 8TV site, but I do hope so later in the future for non-tv people like me. Haha.

As the campaign manager (haha) for Effa Desa's My Aussie Ambassador online voting contest, I am most proud to tell the world that we managed to raised nearly 18,000 votes within 1 1/2 months for her, bringing her from 6th place to the 3rd place. The rat race became more intense when on the final 30 minutes (11.30pm, Sunday, August 10th), we were putting the last fight because we fell 200 votes behind as number 4, and thanks to dearest Johan Sopiee, we managed to fight for it in our final attempt and brought her up back to 3rd place. However, the final results will only be announced on August 15th, 2008 (this Friday). We'll be having a small celebratory toast at Palate Palatte this Sunday, do dropby if you're within the vicinity.

I would like to express my highest congratulations for Sue Anna Joe for her big win 'Best Movie Poster' in Festival Filem Malaysia (Malaysia's version of Academy Awards) last Saturday (August 9th, 2008). When I got to know of her win, I reminisce back to our meet in 1998, for MRSM Language week where I represented my school for the English debate and so did she. We became penpals ever since and her creativity shown thru all those creative cards she often send me. In particular my 17th Birthday card where she did a glittery Austin Power theme. Hahaha. Well babe, Congratulations, you're now a household name, and I look forward to our future collaboration (if any) in the future!

I would invite everyone to go watch Susuk the movie in the cinema near you (if you live in Malaysia that is) !!! I was there on the opening night and wanted to much to congratulate Amir Muhammad in person but chickened out. Hahaha. Managed to say hi to the talented madam director Yasmin Ahmad, who asked me whether I was wearing a 'susuk' for my nice-looking looks. Hahahahaha. (giler perasan). But I just have one comment, This movie will leave you putting the pieces of the puzzle much later after the movie finished. Amir Muhammad and Naiem Ghalili did a very good job for this. Ida Nerina is superb as always. But I do have a few disappointments on Diana Rafar's and Gambit's performances. But thats just my 2 cents, everyone is entitled to their opinions and preferences. But do go! Watch it 2 times if you must! Most certainly not a movie for simple-minded people who wanted simple movie tho.

I found a definition for "susuk" from Jeyhan's post on the issue.

    Charm needles or susuk

Susuk is a practice of inserting charm needles with the help of paranormal beings without having to shed a single drop of blood and minus the excruciating pain of conventional needles and blades. This is best described as the paranormal version of plastic surgery with very satisfying results. This method can best serve the aging wives of the ministers that are worried of loosing their husbands to foreign beauty queens waiting to get their hands on unsuspecting ministers and diplomats. Susuk, when inserted in the right places is also said to enhance sexual performance. No one is able to resist having sex with you no matter how ugly you may look. The experience is said to be out of this world. Susuk can also maintain youth and therefore, suitable for ministers who wish to live a very long wealthy, not necessarily healthy life. There is also a form of susuk known as “buluh perindu”, usually worn inside the mouth. Those using this susuk can charm anyone including their worst enemies and should be very useful during election campaigns.

This weekend, I plan to go somewhere for a scream. Up on a cliff or on a rooftop where no one would call the police on me when I scream "FUCK YOU, YOU FUCKING HORMONES" outloud. Hahahaha. well, its good to let lose once awhile, don't you think?

Okay, enjoy a little video for this week. I love, love, love, love IT! I love dancing to it in my car driving home from work!

    Btw, COSMIC BLOG updated guys!!!

    Greetings Lovable Earthlings!!!
Too much has (not) been happening in the abyss of my cosmic universe hence the not updating part.

But just a quick reminder, have you voted for Your Aussie Ambassador???? (Remember this shout-out?) Well, you can view the clips and vote for your personal favourite Aussie Ambassador but mine will definitely be my dear friend Effa Desa. You can click here to read her experiences and if you like her, do vote for her!

For all you Jazz lovers out there, these two weekends would satisfy your jazz hunger with the Sunrise Jazz & Rhythm Fest 2008 happening at Mont Kiara Plaza on the 25th & 26th July and 1st & 2nd August from 8pm onwards. Admission is free and you will be entertained by some great local musicians like The Phunk Mob, Mia Palencia and Hunny Madu. I'll be there on 2nd of August 2008 to catch Hunny Madu's performances.

From the 29th to 31st July 2008, my company will be organising the International Corporate Social Responsibility Conference 2008: "Where Responsibility Meets Bottomline" at Hilton Kuala Lumpur. One of the first biggest CSR conferences in Malaysia, I will be on my toe as part of the secretariat for this event and am looking forward to see a lot of foreign delegates, fund managers, representatives from UN Global Compact and also the 1997 Nobel Peace Prize Winner, the Mines Advisory Group (MAG). For further information please visit www.csrconferences.com.

I need to start updating regularly huh? Hopefully there's more events to come. Aside from Atilia's Ranjau Music Video launch on the 31st July, 2008, I'm just looking forward to get through with the conference, have a great big dinner and drinks (hehe, of course) with my bosses and team. I will post Atilia's Ranjau videoclip once I get full authorisation to do so. Am quite happy about it because I was on set when it was shot and I managed to make friends with most of the cast (minus those who are already my friends la) like Vanida, Annur and Irene.

Currently I'm on a "L Word" marathon and have fallen in love with the band 'Uh Huh Her' which is made up by Leisha Hailey ('Alice Pieszecki' in The 'L' Word) and Camila Grey. Do visit their website at www.uhhuhher.com. Plus, singing in an Armani dress and heels, definitely HOT! Haha.

Well, you lots have a great day and night until I update ya!

    Greetings Lovable Earthlings!!!
Hoping you all funny people are looking forward to the weekend. I am very much excited for the weekend, a translation job which will generate some extra moolahs, a probable computer hardware outing with dad and a probable photo outing with some snappers for an interesting project (hush hush).

If you are living in East Malaysia or Borneo, be sure to catch the Rainforest Music Festival happening from July 11th to July 13th in Santubong, Kuching, Sarawak. I'm not going to be there but most of my friends are and I know its gonna be tons of fun being a Kuching-born myself. Sarawak in general is definitely a nice place and naturally, Kuching people are very warm and nice themselves (self-included, ahem ahem).

Anyways, the highlight of the event shall be my dear friend Effa Desa featuring on TV3 for the My Aussie Adventure series, taking us to the outbacks of South Australia with Daphne Iking and Naz. The show will be aired on Sunday, July 13th at 7.30pm. I first met Effa during the KLickr Analog walk where she carried a very cool vintage Rollei camera and of course, we all were awed by the size and exclusivity of the camera itself. But the fine lady behind those viewfinder is definitely an interesting person of her own, having to grow up around the world, and guest hosting on a travel show would just suit her vocation.

So guys, do find time to watch the show and enjoy the trip without moving. And if you like her, don't forget to vote for her online. You could win yourself a trip to Australia!!! To vote, register as many emails as you want to because you are only allowed 5 votes per day for every email address. No credit wasted, no harm done and a possible Australian trip! If you're on Facebook, you can join the Vote for Effa Desa in My Aussie Adventure group and get to watch some interview videos and the show itself.

Vote for Effa, click here - I Vote for Effa as My Aussie Ambassador

Now, you can have a snippet of the My Aussie Adventure series here!
