Greetings Beautiful Earthlings!!!
Congratulations to Barack Obama for winning the US-Presidency election and to be the first African-American President of the United States of America. Lets just hope that they will change the foreign policy and have less countries to invade in the future. Good Luck America! Now, updates back home.

The Bandar Utama RA Family Carnival is happening this Sunday, November 9th, 2008 at the BU3 Community Hall from 9am to 6pm. Do come and help raise the collection by buying stuffs from the booths for charity. My friend's husband who is a comic artist will be handling a Comic Book and Sequential Art Workshop. See you there!!!
MUSIC MANIA
Before I left the office on Friday night, a friend suggested a video and I got hooked on repeating it for like 10 times. Kokokaina, has come home to Malaysia bringing the best vibe and talent with her, and now recruiting more cute talents along the way. This one is a duet with Azwar Rashid, 'Tonight You Belong to Me" on ukulele. Enjoy! It does send you down to sappyville doesn't it?! But a cute one of course.

Apparently Governor Palin loves the center of attention when she did a cameo in SNL. Okayla, we cut her some slack for such openness. Hehe.
But of course, HATS OFF to Amy Poehler for an incredible freestyle rapping even while she's like freaking heavily pregnant!

Happy happy happy to all of you, spreading the vibe of happiness (amidst the coldness of the office). I am in a happy mood (or so I am injecting some for ... hope to come).
Today I'm going to talk about this little girl from Bangi who is on her way to be making it big in the Big Apple and the Whole Wide World. Some people are just born with "wow" factor and they need not even realise it themselves. But this lady, Nadirah Zakariya, unknown to fellow Malaysian (wanna-be) photographers, is definitely, something hidden in the Pandora's shoebox of photos, where she quietly make her way to stardom with her unique creative eye in Photography. Having to belong in a photography community, I am quite proud to say I got the chance to be connected to this wonderful soul who constantly motivates me to achieve more in life. Currently pursuing photograhy in New York City, this 24 year-old's talent will blow your mind out of proportion!
Her other works can also be found in her official website and her photoblog. Nadirah is also part of {dmp} collective.
Digital Malaya is currently featured in KLUE (KL Upcoming Events) October edition (get your copy now!) in the Comical Art section. This was a result from {dmp}'s collection of 'Notable Young Malaysian Illustrator's' which features more than 35 Malaysian Illustrators, such as Muid Latif, Muhammad Yazid and Milx. Another little part of Digital Malaya was featured in a Memphis-based yoga studio's website which was my little poem entitled 'Serene Surrender'. I'd like to thank Rosemarie Montgomery for her admiration of my poetic words and wishes her the best of luck with her 'Vinyasa Yoga Studio'!!!

Holly Miranda did a great guitar solo in this episode and check out her band, The Jealous Girlfriends. And she does have a sexy voice (which explains why I'm hooked). Its a new day for the week, and a week to Eid-ul Fitri for the Muslims ... Yeay!!! 8 days more to go to fast. Good lord, I'm such a kid with this very low self-control. Well, 8 days of whiny childish Abby then (as if I won't be after fasting month).
Hey, its my baby brother's birthday!!! Happy Birthday my lovable Afis!!! Okay, he's not really a baby, today, Afis is 13. But this is what he'll always look like to me, my baby, my love, my heart. Hafiz Latif, born September 22nd 1995.

Last Saturday, the KLickr held their September gathering and decided to go with a Ramadhan Bazaar photography, potluck Iftar at Johan's house and Light Painting. I remembered a light painting videoclip I've watched once and immediately love the idea. It was called PikaPika The Movie.
And here is what happened behind the scenes of KLickr Light Painting activity. We didn't make a movie out of it but well, its a learning curve and I bet we can do a time-lapse light painting next time, for sure. Check out some of their streams - Prakash and Adi.

It is Wednesday, 17th September 2008. Yeay, 8 days to go. Hehehe. I don't know why I am counting days to my birthday, but I am actually smiling doing it. I guess the past whole year, I've made close friends with 30 year-olds and the closer I get to it (the age), the happier I get.
With the Podcast mania going on everywhere, I came across two similar, yet different podcasts, one from my dear friend, Sue Anna Joe, another, from across the globe done by Raimy Rosenduft. Similar in means that it was done by garageband and it is a home and personal podcast wanting to be shared to the world.
